United sees the earth from 35,000 ft every day, that’s why they go above and beyond to take care of it.

In 2016, United became the first airline to fly with sustainable alternative jet fuel on a continuous basis. United Eco-Skies uses biofuel, fuel sourced from recycled household trash to power their flights. In addition to the use of biofuel, United offers a carbon offsetting program to enable passengers to offset the emissions from their flights by supporting projects that produce clean energy or reduce carbon emissions in other ways.

The problem? A lot of people aren’t aware of United’s Eco-Skies planes or the fact that passengers can offset carbon emissions from their flight.

Insight: People want to reduce their individual air travel carbon footprint, but they don’t know how to do it effectively.

Idea: Let’s make it easier for passengers to know United is taking steps to flying greener and make it easier to participate in their programs and help more consumers choose United.
